Thai Yoga Massage
This type of Thai massage involves using a lowered massage table to give a treatment that is based on Thai yoga massage techniques. I can also integrate these techniques into my holistic massage practice, allowing you to feel the benefits of both practices.
Thai yoga massage uses dynamic, flowing movements using joint manipulation, stretching, compression work and Thai acupressure.
I use my body-weight and position to apply deeper, effective pressure. I work with the body’s energy line system, the ‘Ten Sen’ through which the body's natural life force flows. Blockages in this life force can cause aches, pains and disease and the techniques I use work to release these blockages.
As well as working with these important points on the energy lines, I incorporate gentle stretching of the body, similar to some stretches used in Hatha yoga, to further release blocked energy, stimulate the body’s healing potential and restore balance.

It does not require the receiver to be flexible! Each treatment is designed to suit the client needs and in inclusive of everyone, whether young, old, healthy or unwell.
The basic principle is to balance the energy body with palming and thumbing techniques. The yoga-based stretches are secondary and do not need to be integral to the treatment. However, for those able to receive them, these effective and beautiful stretches really enhance the experience and benefits.
